With trials for some only one week away, I thought instead of writing a long article, which few will have the time to read (as I assume many are entering to mad cramming sessions), I have decided to leave you with only a few words of advice and guidance.
From all my interviews with 98+ UAI students and my time spent working with students, the key to academic success, and arguable anything, lies in doing the small things consistently.
Small things such as making sure your notes cover that extra point, small things likes making sure you spend the extra 10 minutes going over something, small things like making sure you take the time to fix up and essay.
All of these little small things build up and have an exponential effect.
So what can you do at the moment? Focus on the small things. While it is easy to become overwhelmed only a week out from trials, and focus on the big picture, I suggest focusing on the small things.
Focus on getting through the next hour of study. Focus on not quitting 30 minutes through.
HSC success is all about the small things. Do them right, and consistently, and you will emerge from your trial triumphant.
