The first Winter Harvest Festival is on at Rouse Hill Town Centre on Saturday, July 31 with family fun, music and more than 50 fresh food stalls. Fresh vegetables, fruit, honey, jams, breads, muesli, chocolate, fudge, Asian pastes, olive oils, lavosh, eggs, cheese, fish, native foods and organic potatoes are among the produce available.
Jubilee, Tizzana and Vicarys Wineries will showcase their wines, while Sassafras Creek chef Thomas will prepare a special pumpkin and roast apple soup with smoked duck breast and alfalfa sprouts in the first of three cooking demonstrations at 10.30am.
Entertainment includes old-fashioned picnic games such as egg and spoon races and sack races and the contemporary tunes of OxyGen Band.
