Featuring a holiday show for children and family in the backdrop of hundreds of museum objects in the Powerhouse Collection, this open day is a highlight of the July school holidays program.

Visitors can watch the Oh Rats! the hilariously madcap two-puppeteer show that takes its audience on a fast-paced journey of comical events playing at 11am and 12.30pm.

There will be demonstrations of the magical player piano, as well as Access All Areas glimpses into the Powerhouse Collection storage including early transport vehicles and highlights of the Sydney 2000 Olympics costumes and ceremony props. Children will enjoy the new Squiggles Discovery Trail and participating in make-and-do activities.
