STEVE Paoli and Chris Brooks live and breathe guitar and want to share their passion with other players and enthusiasts during a show at the Castle Hill Tavern on July 8.
They both have guitars in their hands for at least five hours a day and couldn't imagine life without their hardcore expressive instruments.
Paoli, of West Pennant Hills, said he and Brook wanted to raise awareness of guitar-based music and give real guitar fans an experience they wouldn't forget.
``If you're a guitarist, you definitely learn something and if you're curious about it, it will be the best [show] for you to see,'' he said.
Brooks, a self-taught player from Quakers Hill, loves the challenge of playing guitar and how he can create a unique sound.
``We want to showcase instrumental guitar and bring a different audience to the venue,'' he said.
``It will be an evening for guitar nerds, aspiring guitarists and hopefully some girls will come, too.''
After the concert, the players will take questions from the audience.
When Paoli started playing almost 10 years ago,
plays for four to five hours daily and teaches for another few hours.
``I eat, breathe and sleep guitar.
``I love the noise it makes and the distortion. When you have the sound that loud, you can almost feel it.''
The concert will be on from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Entry is free and under 18s are permitted with a parent.
