31 Aug, 2010 01:00 AM

EACH September, The Hills transforms with the huge Orange Blossom Festival celebrations.

The festival began life in 1969 as a humble gardening and footpath competition and has since grown to one of Australia's largest community-run festivals.

This year the festival has about 40 events spread over 10 full days of fun.

It runs from Friday, September 10 to Sunday, September 19.

The festival is co-ordinated by Hills Council in partnership with local community groups and organisations and is funded through financial and in-kind support from sponsors.

These include Castle Towers, HomeWorld, Amory Catering, Australian Brewery, the Hills News, the Hills Shire Times, HOPE FM, Davin Griffiths-Jones School Of Performing Arts, Gloria Jean's Coffees, Living Choice Glenhaven, McDonald's Australia, Vision Personal Training, Baulkham Hills Landscape Supplies, Carlile swimming centres, 2CCRFM, Coleman Greig and Castle Hill RSL Club .
