Australia Day celebrations cancelled

25 Jan, 2012 04:31 PM
Blacktown Council has cancelled its Australia Day Celebrations at The Rooty Hill due to the wet weather.

The Hills Shire Council has also scaled back its Australia Day entertainment, with the fireworks and thrill rides planned for its main Australia Day Event at Balcombe Heights Estate cancelled due to the heavy rain. Main stage entertainment will proceed along with the flag raising ceremonies around the Hills. Check thehills.nsw.gov.au for further updates if wet weather continues.
