TICKETS are still available for the fabulous Spring Fashion Brunch to support the Hear the Children Early Intervention Centre at Kellyville on September 12.
Castle Hill RSL is showing its support by hosting the event for free and donating $1000 gym membership and two $100 club vouchers.
The club's catering for the event includes gourmet finger sandwiches, mini scones and cupcakes, a mixture of sweet tarts, plus tea and coffee.
This week Katherine Mullen's daughter Isla Custovic is celebrating her one-year anniversary of hearing.
Isla has double Med-El brand cochlear implants and was the youngest baby in the country to be double implanted.
``Isla is now saying short words and responds to verbal directions,'' Mrs Mullen said.
``She loves dancing and singing and sings to herself as she potters around the house.
``Ongoing community support for the centre is vital, as with minimal government funding we are really relying on the generosity of sponsors, businesses and people in the community to ensure that we can remain open and provide the therapy, support and activities to hearing impaired children.''
Club president Warren Glenny said the RSL was looking forward to supporting the event.
``Hear the Children is doing some great work by offering these programs for babies and toddlers with hearing impairments,'' he said.
Former Miss Universe Australia Laura Dundovic will host the event on September 12 in the club's Cocktail Lounge at 10am. Tickets are $60 and include high tea, a crystal-encrusted lipstick case valued at $60, a piccolo of Rosemount O, an $80 voucher from The Temple Skincare, a copy of Woman's Day magazine, a make-up case and compact mirror and a $25 voucher from Robert Cliff Master Jewellers.
One guest will also win a one-carat diamond from Robert Cliff Master Jewellers.
