THERE are 17 weeks until Santa arrives but only three weeks until entries close for Blacktown Council's Community Christmas Carols Event Calendar. The calendar will list all the community Christmas carol events to be held throughout the city during the festive season. Local non-profit community groups, church groups and schools can register their event with the council to have it listed for free. Mayor Charlie Lowles said the aim of the calendar was to enable residents to find their nearest carols and help community groups to promote their events. ``Council encourages community groups to register their event and help our local community come together over the holiday season in good spirits,'' he said.
