Castle Hill diggers visit cinema

28 Apr, 2010 12:45 PM
CASTLE Hill RSL sub-branch members (including vice-president David Wood [left] and president Don Tait) were at Event Cinemas at Castle Towers in full military uniform on Thursday for a screening of

Beneath Hill 60, a film about World War I. The film, which is set in 1916, follows the story of Queensland miner

Oliver Woodward as he fights on the Western Front. Castle Hill RSL president/chairman Warren

Glenny said: ``It is a day when we remember the lives lost and risked in past wartime and a time when

we reflect and appreciate the very people who continue to risk their lives to protect our country. This

movie reminds us all to continue to do just that.''
