A POLICE helicopter was used to disperse 150 uninvited guests at a 16th birthday party in Kellyville on Friday night.
Police said 150 people aged 14-18 attended the party, which had 40 invited guests.
About 8.45pm the party organiser called the police and five cars arrived at the five-acre property on Fairway Drive while the helicopter flew overhead.
Hills Local Area Command Crime Commander Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Murray said parents should pick up a party pack from the police station before they host events.
``Parents need to speak to their kids to ensure there is limited marketing about the party.''
Assault charges
A man has been charged after he allegedly kicked and spat at the police who arrested him in the Mean Fiddler hotel's car park.
Police said security staff were trying to restrain the Minchinbury man, 19, at about 10.10pm on June 12 after asking him to leave.
The man was being disruptive and swearing.
Police attempted to arrest the man and asked him to lie on the ground.
The man started to thrash his legs and kicked and spat at police as he was being handcuffed.
He was charged with two counts of assaulting police, using offensive language, failing to leave a licensed premises and two counts of resisting/hindering police in the execution of their duty.
He will appear in Parramatta Local Court on July 2.
Home invasion
A family was threatened by three men who burst into their home and demanded money on Friday night.
Police said the 63-year-old man, his 57-year-old wife and their 37-year-old son were asleep at their home in Allandale Road, Baulkham Hills, at about 11.20pm, when they were woken by noises inside the home.
Police allege the husband and wife were threatened by four men, one armed with a pistol, before demands were made for cash.
The 63-year-old was allegedly punched and his son was punched and his wallet taken.
The four attackers fled the home and were seen getting into a grey-coloured two-door Nissan Skyline parked on Crestwood Street.
The vehicle was last seen heading west on Chapel Lane.
The 63-year-old man was taken to Blacktown Hospital for treatment of cuts and bruises.
His wife and son suffered minor injuries and did not require treatment.
Investigations into the incident are continuing.

Expensive parking
A man who allegedly parked illegally in a disabled car spot has lashed out after receiving a fine and kicked the car parked next to him.
Police said the Castle Hill man, 26, returned to his spot in the Piazza car park at Castle Towers between 12.30pm and 3.30pm on May 18 to find he had been fined $400.
Police said he became angry and kicked the front left side passenger door of the silver Holden Barina parked next to him.
The man then drove away but a passer-by left a note on the Barina, which belonged to a Cherrybrook woman.
When the woman returned to the car at 3.45pm she found the note and called police.
The man was charged with malicious damage and has been asked to pay $1455.58 in compensation.
He will appear in Parramatta Local Court on August 6.
