FOUR candidates have nominated for the seat of Mitchell and 11 for Greenway for the federal election.
Nominations for the poll closed on Thursday and were declared on Friday, when the draw was conducted to determine the order of candidates on the ballot paper.
Mitchell MP Alex Hawke (Liberal), who attracted more than 61per cent of the two-party preferred vote in the 2007 poll, said he was ``not at all'' concerned at having drawn third spot on the ballot paper behind ALP candidate Nigel Gould and Christian Democrat Party (Fred Nile Group) candidate Brendan Prentice in the number one spot.
Greens candidate for Mitchell Colin Dawson drew the fourth place and also announced his decision not to direct preferences to Labor or any other party at the poll.
``In many electorates, Greens have preferenced Labor,'' Mr Dawson said.
``However, each Greens local group has discretion over how its votes are directed. Local Greens are confident that voters will realise they have to number all the boxes, although an open ticket is often seen as risky because it can increase the informal vote.''
Mr Dawson said he hoped the move would encourage voters in Mitchell to ``make a statement''.
In Greenway, the ALP's Michelle Rowland drew first place on the ballot, followed by the Liberals' Jaymes Diaz.
Independent Michael Santos drew third position, Australia First party candidate Tony Pettitt fourth and Christian Democrat Allan Green fifth.
Building Australia's John Baiada drew sixth position on the ticket, Ronaldo Villaver from the Australian Democrats placed seventh, followed by Joaquim Eduardo De Lima of the Liberal Democrats in eighth place, independent Amarjit Tanda ninth, The Greens' Paul Taylor 10th and Family First's Iris Muller 11th on the ballot.
