THE Hills Council will be cooking up a storm with a series of cooking demonstrations that start today.
Hills Kitchen Rocks is an exciting new way to rethink your waist and your ``waste'', at 12 workshops that will be held monthly at different venues around the Hills. Vanessa Williams-Henke will take residents on a gastronomical journey to change the way they view food and waste.
The first workshop is at Rouse Hill Town Centre today, Tuesday, at 11.30am.
``Through Hills Kitchen Rocks we will engage you, entertain you and educate you on ways you can feed your family a healthy meal and keep the costs low and the waste low,'' Ms Williams-Henke said.
``As well as fantastic menu ideas and fab new ideas to use your leftovers so they won't go to waste while reducing your waist line, we will have live cooking demonstrations with myself and an exciting array of local guests, plus an opportunity to try the recipes yourself.''
