KELLYVILLE Rotarians have joined other north-west Rotary clubs to send life-saving ShelterBoxes to help earthquake victims in Haiti.
Costing $1200, each contains shelter and survival kits containing equipment to support 10 people.
Each contains a tent, blankets, water purification and cooking equipment, basic tools and much more.
Hills residents justly renowned for their generosity can make contributions to help pay for them.
The kits contain items that will not only give instant aid to victims, but will also help them to rebuild their lives.
Rotary's Peter Smith said that Rotarians in the US, Mexico, the West Indies and South America were already supporting the victims and their families.
``Our efforts will be by way of contribution through the Rotary ShelterBox program,'' Mr Smith said.
``Not only will we donate these ShelterBoxes but we are taking donations to provide more boxes.''
Rotary district 9680 governor John Cameron said: ``Rotary gives everyday Australians a chance to contribute to larger humanitarian solutions and the local response to the Haiti disaster through providing these ShelterBoxes is a perfect example
of this.''
