THE market magnet for bargain baby and kids goods will return to Kellyville this weekend.
The Baby and Kids Market gives parents who want to find good homes for things their kids no longer use a chance to earn some extra money.
Buyers can buy goods they need that are sometimes new or barely used.
The next Kellyville market will be held on Sunday at Bernie Mullane Sports Complex, Marella Avenue, Kellyville.
Among this weekend's stallholders will be a Stanhope Gardens mother, Lauren, who has a 17-month-old daughter. She and two friends, Alyssa and Debbie, decided to hold a stall together to get rid of clothes, toys and equipment their children had outgrown.
``We're not going to be having another child for quite a few years, so we decided not to hang on to things,'' Lauren
said.
`Why store it, when I can make money out of it in the meantime?''
Stanhope Gardens mum Trish Swinkels has two children and has been going to the market as a buyer for three years.
``Now both my girls are starting to grow up, it's time to clean out some of the items they don't use any more,'' she said.
``It's a great way to move things out of the house to make way for new things.''
Kellyville Ridge mum Liz will be a first-time stallholder this weekend.
She has four children, aged from six months to eight years.
``This is a fresh start,'' she said.
``I have a lot of boy clothes, and I finally had my girl, so I've got a lot of brand new girl clothes that she didn't even wear, as well as a bassinet and toys.''
The market will be held from 9am to noon. Entry will cost $3 for adults and is free for children. Details: babykidsmarket.com.au.
