Castle Hill RSL launched its Anzac Day Primary Schools Educuational Kit on Monday to teach youngsters the importance of the sacred national holiday.
The kit was designed to be fun, interactive and engaging, with activities suitable for primary school children to learn about Anzac Day.
All schools in the Hills Shire will be given the kit so teachers can use it in the lead up to Anzac Day to teach youngsters about the Anzac tradition.
Each of the activities can be downloaded from a DVD in the kit.
The kit's ambassador, retired General Peter Cosgrove said it was a ``wonderful example of a learning resource, which uses a variety of methods, engages younger Australians in an attractive way, to
prompt them to develop and nurture an interest in this part of our nation's history''.
Castle Hill RSL Group president Warren Glenny said the kit woulde help young people to have a greater understanding of Anzac Day.
``We acknowledge and commend young Australians for their increasing awareness and active participation in Anzac Day, a day that is critical to our nation's history, culture and pride.
The club's Anzac Day Youth Ambassadors, year six students Jodie Klopf of St Angela's Primary School Castle Hill and Melanie Hopman of Rouse Hill Public School officially launched the kit at the club on Monday.
