Labor choose their man

WHILE the Liberals were eviscerating each other, the Labor Party held its own selection to find a candidate to tackle Alex Hawke in The Hills-based seat of Mitchell. Nigel Gould the former unionist and father of five who has never really stopped campaigning since he contested Mitchell three years ago defeated local businessman Imanuel Selvaraj in a close contest by 16 to 14 votes. Gould has impressed many in The Hills, even the Liberals, as a likeable, down-to-earth bloke.
