PONDS residents were given seven minutes or less to present their view at a meeting to discuss the proposed cycleway on the western side of The Ponds Boulevard last night.
In December the residents returned home from work to find their footpath had been widened to accommodate a cycleway without consultation.
They then formed the Ponds Action Group to stop construction on what they believed would be a safety hazard.
Landcom sent letters to group members a week ago which stated a representative of the group could present their views to the community ``for five minutes to seven minutes''.
Resident Terry Cole said safety was a big concern, with children riding past driveways.
But the pre-meeting letter alluded to the fact construction would go ahead regardless. It said: ``As previously advised Landcom will report to council on the issues that are raised at the workshop. However, council will make the final decision on the width of the shared pedestrian/cycleway on the western side of the ponds boulevard to be constructed.''
