Song counted students in for national event

07 Sep, 2010 01:00 AM
PUPILS from Sherwood Ridge Public School were part of Australia's biggest youth choir last Thursday.

The school's 720 students were part of the national ``Music: Count Us In'' event.

They joined 500,000 students from across Australia in a simultaneous performance of the song, Come Play Your Part, written by high school students from around the country.

Aim of the project was to promote the value of music education in every school. An MP3 recording of the song can be downloaded from www.musiccountusin.org.au
