AN EASTER hat parade marked the first anniversary of the Stanhope Gardens Catholic Early Learning Centre last week.
The centre, which caters for children aged 3 to 5, opened last year with 15 children. It now has 93.
The children made Easter hats at home, then held a parade for family and friends.
It was the first family gathering for the new centre director, Laurette Sider, pictured right.
``Family involvement is really important for the children,'' she said. ``It provides an opportunity for the children, families and staff to provide a learning environment that gives the children a connection to home and is safe and caring.
``I look forward to continuing the journey of growth and community building with all families and staff.''
Places are available at the centre, which operates during school term times from 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday. Details: 98520585 or www.celc.catholic.edu.au.
