MATTHEW Eastman, 14, of Rouse Hill, is kicking off on the right foot.
Matthew plays for the under-16s Kellyville/Rouse Hill Junior Australian Football Club.
He recently played his 150th game, and was the first player to do so.
Captain and teammate Joshua Cutting is also not far behind, having reached his 130th game.
``It was great to reach 150 games,'' Matthew said.
``All the boys in the team were behind me.
``I'm pretty lucky. I love footy.
``I'm doing the best I can and I am hanging out with all my mates, so it's great.''
He started footy at four playing Auskick with Baulkham Hills before moving over to Kellyville.
At six he was already playing for the under 9s.
``I remember I was pretty small and I was playing with all older kids,'' Matthew said. ``I have just kept on going and I am aiming for as high as I can.
``I just always want to get out there and play footy.''
And aiming high he is.
He and Joshua were in the U15 Sydney Brumbies Combined High School (CHS) team which played at the state championships at Albury last week.
Matthew was awarded CHS Sydney Brumbies player of the carnival and was selected for the state team.
He will be competing in the national championships in Perth in July where he will compete against the best players from around Australia.
In addition to his success, he's also in the U15 AFL Talented Player Program (TPP) Pioneers team a development program for talented players with the Greater Western Sydney AFL Club.
He was also selected in this last year.
