THE Hills District Tennis Association keeps churning out champions.
Kimberley Luttringer has joined the association's factory line-up of stars after winning the girls' doubles under-16 title at the 2010 Hills Winter Junior Open, hosted by the association at its three centres.
Kim, who attends William Clarke College in Kellyville, doubled with Linda Damico from Dural in the Open, which drew 280 entrants from far and wide, including the ACT.
The Open, organised for under 12s, 14s and 16s, is an Optus Junior Tour Australian Ranking tournament (bronze), said Linda Bestford, the association's business development officer.
This was a first-time win at an Open for Kim and Linda, who also reached the final last year.
``It was a team effort really,'' Kim, 14, of Baulkham Hills, said.
They both play in the Saturday afternoon singles competition at Caterson Tennis Centre, which is how their doubles partnership came about, Kim said.
The Saturday junior competitions, which are all graded, attract 330 children every week. Kim is also member of the association's training squads, which are organised for talented players, in addition to regular coaching sessions.
