Western Sydney cycling duo Simone Kennedy and Jayme Paris will kick their Paralympics campaigns into gear this Thursday at the London Velodrome.
Expectations within the 15-man cycling team are mounting for the talented duo who are considered serious medal contenders.
Kennedy, who trains with Parramatta Cycling Club, will be in action on Friday morning AEST during the C3 3km individual pursuit event.
She goes into the event having won two gold medals in the 500m time trial and the 3km pursuit at the Los Angeles UCI Para-Cycling World Championships.
Kennedy will compete in the C3 3km pursuit two days later on September 1.
Meanwhile, Beijing Paralympian Jayme Paris hopes to defend her bronze medal in the C3 500m time trial.
At her second Paralympics, Paris has qualified for four events in the individual C 1-3 time trial, Individual C1-2-3 pursuit, C1-2-3 500m time trial and the individual C 1-3 road race.
The Quakers Hill rider starts her London campaign on Thursday during the 500m time trial.
